Scarriff in Draw

26/5/16 There was some great fishing in the fly and drifting and holding department, we start in the drifting department, UK angler Mr. Sean Smith, fishing out of www.watervillegolflinks.ie caught a fine 9 lbs. salmon on the drift, while fishing with his gillie Mr. Neil O’Shea of www.oshealoughcurrane.com and staying in the drifting department, an angler on his own caught a fine Sea Trout in the 5 lbs. class, Now we head for the holding department and catch of the day and that goes to German Angler, Mr. Markus Kruse, and for good reason he caught a fine 8 lbs. Salmon and finished his day off with a cracker of a 5 ½ lbs. Sea Trout, all while fishing with his Gillie. Now we head down stream and out to the Wild Atlantic Ocean and the annual Scarriff Inn workers fishing competition and going by the Mackerel caught, it’s a draw.
